Whether you could qualify for government grants like the BUS scheme (£7,500 for heat pumps) or the Great British Insulation Scheme.

What if my home does not have an EPC?

If your property does not appear in the results, it has not been assessed yet. Around 15% of UK homes have never had an EPC. Without one, you cannot:

  • Sell or rent your property (a valid EPC is legally required)
  • Apply for most energy grants (EPC is a prerequisite)
  • Know where you are losing heat and money

An EPC assessment takes about an hour and typically costs £65 to £100. A qualified assessor visits your home, checks the insulation, heating, windows, and more, then produces a certificate valid for 10 years.
